Lowell Real Estate
Lowell lies northwest of Boston and with roughly 115,000 residents it is the 5th most populous city in Massachusetts. Lowell was set to be a mill town in the early 1800’s which is why one can still see many of its textile mills and factories. Today you will see them preserved, including the Lowell National Historical Park.
Public art plays a role in building some of Lowell’s public spaces, revitalizing neighborhoods, and connecting communities. The Office of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in coordination with the Cultural Organization of Lowell manages a wide variety of temporary and permanent public art projects throughout the city. For entertainment there is no shortage of options. Studio 506 Theater, Zorba Music Room, MCC’s Performing Arts Center and the Edward Z. LeLacheur Park are just a few to name. Other noteworthy landmarks include UMASS’s Lowell Campus as well as Middlesex Community College’s Lowell Campus, both dedicated to higher learning for nearby residents.
